Darlene
Stephens
Is the Director of
Music in Motion® and has a B.A. in Dance from the University of Maryland, 1975. Former Director of Dance and Program Coordinator for Sign of the Times Cultural Workshop and Gallery, Inc., in Washington D.C. She has studied, taught, choreographed, and performed in Maryland, Florida, New York, North and South Carolina, Texas, and Connecticut totaling over
30 years of experience. She is the Artistic Director of Music in Motion® Dance Company and has been teaching at
Music in Motion® for over twenty-five years. Darlene has trained and
taught several dancers, who have gone on to professional careers in major
dance companies, and have traveled to every continent in the world except Antarctica.

Sally
Robinson
Sally started
her dance education with Andre Eglevsky and The School of American Ballet
in New York. She then continued with The Cape Cod Ballet Co., Boston Ballet and
Hartford Ballet. She then did her teacher training with Hartford Ballet and
received her degree from Hartford College for Women. Sally took time off
from dancing to start a family. Sally and her family moved south to Virginia Beach and
she has been teaching at Music in Motion® since 1991. Sally teaches a beginner
Modern class and Pre-ballet through advanced levels of Ballet and all
Pointe classes. |

Jessica
Haynes
Jessica is a
recent graduate of Old Dominion University. She received
her undergraduate degree in Dance and was also named the Outstanding
Student of the year. Jessica currently dances for several local dance
companies including Second Wind Dance Company, Dancers and Mina
Estrada, and TRdance Ensemble.Jessica has been performing in various
shows throughout the area and recently performed in the Piccolo
Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC. She has also performed and
choreographed for University Dance Theater, To The Nines Productions,
The Granby Theater, and The Miss VA Pageants. |

Shaye
Arluk
Shaye
Arluk began dancing at Music in Motion at the age of five, studying
ballet, Pointe, modern, and jazz. She was a member of the
Children’s Dance Theatre and later the Music and Motion dance company
throughout high school. She continued
her dance training in contemporary, jazz, and hip hop at
Cornell
University
in
New York
and in
Richmond
,
VA
both studying and performing in many local venues. Since moving
back to
Virginia Beach
she has been teaching children’s and adult Hip Hop dance classes at
the Simon Family Jewish Community Center in Virginia Beach. In addition, Shaye has her Masters of Science in Exercise
Physiology from Old
Dominion University
.
