The Music in Motion® Dance Academy in Virginia Beach provides dance instructions for students 3 years old to adult in Ballet, Pointe, Creative Movement, Pre Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Hip Hop, and Pilates.  Music in Motion® is an education oriented Dance school placing emphasis on development and progression of skills and growth through proper training and a positive teaching approach to all levels and capabilities.

Our students have been accepted into the San Francisco Ballet School, the National Ballet of Canada School, the North Carolina School for the Arts, the Nevada Dance Theatre and into Dance programs at Texas Christian University, Virginia Commonwealth University, State University of New York, The University of Maryland, James Madison University, East Carolina University and Shenandoah University.

Our students have also been seen in the touring companies of Evita, A Chorus Line, David Parsons Dance Company, Trisha Brown Dance Company, Philadanco, Purchase Dance Corps, Bill T Jones Dance Company, and have traveled all over the world.  Younger students have been accepted into the Governor's Magnet School for the Arts and Gifted and Talented programs in the public schools.

Our instructors are professionally trained and hold college degrees in Dance and related areas or have a comparable number of years in teaching, choreography, and performance experience.  The dance studio is conveniently located in central Virginia Beach has 3,500 square feet with 3 dance studios, 2 reception areas, and a dressing room.
